Meet The Board

Amy is thrilled to finally be a full time LOW resident with her husband Harry after years of weekend lake living.  In April 2021, two days after retiring as a Senior Systems Engineer in Northern Virginia, Amy rescued her foxhound Ella from the Orange County Animal Shelter and immediately joined the Happy Tails Dog Club. Amy considers the park a hidden jewel of the LOW community and wants to help spread the word to others while keeping the park fun, safe and beautiful.   

Jennifer has been a member of Happy Tails since 2021. She has 6 fur babies. Her dog Bella just completed her Canine Good Citizen and is on her way to become a therapy dog.

A resident of LOW since 2002 and avid animal lover, Laurie supported the development of a LOW park where dogs could safely play off leash and live their best furry lives. Her miniature pinschers Edie and Andy and golden retriever Butterscotch are grateful to those who worked so hard to see the dream come true. Laurie lives with her husband Lee and works full-time as a computer nerd from her home office. She monitors all Happy Tails Dog Club registrations and correspondences on a daily basis perpetuating the happy, safe park for everyone. 

Courtney has lived in the lake since 2020.  She has a Shih tzu named Zoey and 2 Jindos, Oliver and Dodger, who were rescued from the South Korean meat trade. They are both very fearful dogs who have grown a lot by going to the park daily. Her favorite thing is watching them learn to socialize and build confidence in a safe off leash environment.   

Anne LeHuray was a part-time LOW resident for 10 years before, in preparation for retirement, moving to Lake of the Woods full-time from Alexandria in 2019. She and her dog Duchess have been members of the Happy Tails Dog Club since 2019. Anne has been the HTDC treasurer since 2022.

Bethany has lived in LOW since 2017.  You may see her around LOW as she is a Mobile Notary.  Her and her pup Piper have been members of the Happy Tails Dog Club since 2024.
