Cathy Hix has lived full time in the lake since 2018. She and her husband love dogs and they have two Cairn terrier puppies, Dexter and Teddy who are in love with the dog park. A retired educator who attended and worked in Arlington Public Schools, she is active in the LOW Lions Club and is excited to be a part of the Happy Tails team.

Courtney has lived in the lake since 2020. She has a Shih tzu named Zoey and 2 Jindos, Oliver and Dodger, who were rescued from the South Korean meat trade. They are both very fearful dogs who have grown a lot by going to the park daily. Her favorite thing is watching them learn to socialize and build confidence in a safe off leash environment.

My husband, Joe, and I bought our house in Lake of the Woods in November 2020. In 2022 we left the Philadelphia area and moved down here full time. Bucky joined our family in February 2023 and I retired after 42 years of teaching in 2024.
We have 2 married kids, one grandson and one grand dog, McKinley.
